Classroom Policies
LATE Work:
**Late work benefits NO one. History is a sequential subject, building on information from the past. Once we cover a section, it is very hard to go back in history much less in this high paced class. I will accept late work within the Unit we are studying, but once we test over that unit I will no longer accept late work from that unit and zero will be recorded.
Notes- IANS (InterActive Notebooks)
-Students are responsible for attaining missed notes in their notebooks (composition books/ IANS) from a friend or can come before/after-school or to copy notes from teachers notebook. (they are also sometimes available under the LINKS section on this website)
All notes and work are kept in their Interactive notebooks and accounts for over %60 of their grade.
Corrections/ Retakes
-Only SOME assignments can be retaken/corrected. This is up to the discretion of the teacher.
-Tests CANNOT be corrected or retaken.
Homework
There will NOT be weekly homework but occasional assignments will be sent home, as well as any make up work or notes not finished in class will be expected to be finished at home.
There will be reports, essays, and projects that will require work outside of class, most over an extended period of time. As with all homework, it is expected that effort and a grasp of knowledge be displayed.
All syllabi and assignments are updated weekly under the THIS WEEK tab so you will be able to identify what assignments are due.
